![]() It isn’t a central plot point to the game, but for all the whining she does about not wanting to go back there, an explanation would have been appreciated. When you go there at one point in the game, it seems like a mildly unpleasant place at worst, and a wonderful land that worships a giant, friendly, talking peacock at best. There is just one plot thread that does not get satisfactorily resolved - an early solution Geron comes up with is to send Nuri back to her fairy world of Neirutvena, something she steadfastly refuses to do. Nuri, who is essentially a Cloudcuckoolander, is so naïve, innocent, and endearing that you will feel Geron’s plight as he tries to protect her from those that would do her harm. It’s a wonderful story, and the slower pace of a point-and-click adventure game gives the melancholy Geron plenty of time to grow and consider his actions. He rescues Nuri from an angry mob and sets out to find the Fairy Scholar, the only one who may know enough about magic to break the curse without murder. Being a young man of honor, Geron won’t stand for this. See, Gwinnling neglected to tell Geron that the way she could halt the curse is by… well, not being alive anymore. When he returns with the fairy, Nuri, however, she is greeted less than openly. They soon infect the land by the thousands and, convinced the Seer has returned, Geron’s teacher, Gwinnling, sends him to fetch a fairy from the forest who is the key to undoing the curse. However, it soon becomes clear that these ravens are not what they appear, with their mere presence enough to make a man go mad. The game begins innocently enough, when Geron, being a bird-catcher and having won an audience with the king in a contest, is instructed by the king to clear some ravens out of his guest bedroom so that a visit with a Nostrian monarch can run smoothly. After that, the only thing worrying the Kingdom of Andergast was its ongoing war against its neighbor, Nostria. Thirteen years ago, an evil Seer prophesied that Geron would bring about the end of the world. It’s a question that haunts young Geron throughout The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. Their technology varies from advanced giant robots to close combat tools such as plungers and feather dusters. The Rabbids are the common enemy in this game. Main articles: Rayman (character) and Raving Rabbids The stylus is used for all of the minigames, unlike the rest of the gameplay. Games such as "Feed the bunnies", "Ghost hunt", "Bunny invasion", "Stop the mines" and "Super Rabbid" are used. Variations of the mini-games are featured in the DS version. Also, there are "Skill" minigames that do not fall under any of the other categories. The 'Shake your Booty!' category involves dance-themed minigames and are found in Story Mode each day. Challenges are various games found in Score Mode which must be played one after the other with the goal of a high combined score in a Triathlon, Pentathlon, or Decathlon. Sports minigames also include 'Get Going!' racing stages, including four warthog racing games and a skydiving race. The Sports minigames can be played for Workout, which requires rapid movement of the Wii Remote, and Precision, which involves the controls of the remote. Two players can participate in Co-op Bunny Hunt, but Survival is not available for multiplayer. Bunny Hunt comprises first-person rail shooter stages, all appearing in Story Mode as "boss" stages that the player may play for Score, Time, or Survival with the goal of obtaining the highest score possible with only one life. Minigames fall into one of four categories: Bunny Hunt, Sports, Challenges, and 'Shake your Booty!' dancing. In Score mode, the player can repeat past trials in an attempt to improve their score or can play the game as a multiplayer party game. Trial completion also earns plungers and after accumulating enough, Rayman builds a ladder up the edge of his jail cell and escapes to freedom. Completing trials earns Rayman various costumes and matching music, including Gangsta, Raymaninho (a portmanteau of the title character's name and football star Ronaldinho), Disco, Gothic, Caramba, Rock'n'Roll, Granny, DeeJay, and Bunny. Each day, Rayman must complete at least three trials, followed by one special "boss trial", such as a first-person rail shooter using plungers, or a racing game in which the player controls a warthog and uses a flyswatter as a riding crop. In story mode the game follows fifteen days of Rayman's imprisonment by the Rabbids. The game features two different modes of play - 'Story mode' and 'Score mode'. As of April 2014, the series had sold over 14 million units worldwide. The game later spawned a subseries, with the first sequel, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, being released in November 2007. The game received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the soundtrack, design of the rabbids, sound, story, and "the heavy emphasis on fun" (IGN), but criticized the minigames either being broken or unenjoyable, and the game not being able to run in progressive scan. Versions for GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Portable were planned, but were later cancelled. The game was released for the PlayStation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows systems, with a different version released for Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and mobile phones. ![]() The game is a spinoff in the Rayman series. My guess is that Luke wore the Q mask, and it disfigured him pretty badly. In other words, Luke is carrying the kind of injuries that result from him being not just careless, but getting in serious trouble. While his scars could be the result of him getting into a bunch of fights, most people in Street Fighter don’t normally carry the kinds of scars Luke does unless something very traumatic happened, like Sagat getting struck with the Shoryuken or Zangief getting clawed up by bears. Since I’ve said many times that G has the power to turn anyone into a Q for his personal army, I theorized that Luke would end up as a Q as well, making the pattern accurate.Īfter seeing Luke’s redesign, I think this is exactly what happened to him. I’ve stated that Robert was a candidate to be Q. ![]() After Luke was revealed, I kept pushing the antagonist narrative, and things appeared to come to a head when Luke’s father, Robert, was shown. The pattern ended up like this:Īs you can see, the pattern placed the final character squarely in the Antagonists group. I figured out that by dividing each of the character’s by season, they could be placed into two groups: Protagonists and Antagonists. Second, the final character would either be a villain or have the ability to become an antagonist, based on the roster of characters that were already there. First, the final character would be connected to G and Q. In that theory, there were two primary ideas based on the research I’d done. As it turns out, the other parts of my methodology to figure out the last character may have been dead on. While I was wrong about Dorai, my mistake was assuming that a completely new character wasn’t feasible at this stage in the game. Although we don’t know at this point what Capcom has planned for him, we can still surmise that, with his redesign, he could end up being a villain protagonist.ĭid something change Luke from a well-intentioned young man who wanted to make his father proud to becoming a possible threat to Ryu and the world? It’s admittedly a bit of a leap to say this going off just the trailer, but I have theorized in the past that Luke has the potential to turn evil.īefore Luke was revealed, I had speculated that Dorai would be the last character to be revealed for SFV. ![]() So the big question is what happened to Luke between SF5 and SF6?
